In WINDSHIELD, Halleckson considers how we protect ourselves from the outside world and explores barriers, tension, and patterns. Composed of fiberglass sheets, like the screens on our windows, this work asks viewers to look beyond, changing their perspective to gain understanding and appreciation for the world that surrounds us.

Windshield was a temporary public installation in September 2019 at Silverwood Park, a regional park and nature center near Minneapolis, MN.
