Wisdom from 1989:

"We have changed the atmosphere, and that will change the weather. ... We must act, and in every way possible, and immediately."

The vital favor that determines social patterns, human preoccupations, and economic customs of those dwelling in different geographic environments depends on how cold it gets, not on how hot... The people who live in the colder areas are not more inventive— they simply have many more environment-caused occasions in which to employ all humans’ innate inventiveness.

Has this week brought out the fighter or advocate in you? If so, how will you act on those impulses?

Activism and Efficiency

Check out On Being's latest interview with Parker Palmer and Courtney Martin on activism, efficiency, self-reflection and burnout. I loved this discussion's energy and urgency of its content. How can we make the world a better place if we covet efficiency over sustainability?

Who knows, maybe you're also one of those people, too. Even though the first entry of this blog nearly aligns with the start of the year, it just happens that this is the perfect time for me to start sharing what I learn.
